CONDITIONS 參賽須知
1. CONDUCT OF TOURNAMENT
The Tournament will be conducted under the Rules of Tennis as approved by the International Tennis Federation and Rules and Regulations and Code of Conduct of the Hong Kong Tennis Association.
2. ELIGIBILITY
a. All participants are invited to become individual members of the Hong Kong Tennis Association
b. Participants must be holders of H.K.I.D. cards or valid alternative travel document for verification purpose.
c. Events 6, 7 and 8 (School Boys & Girls) - players aged 18 or under born on 1st January, 1990 or after.
d. Event 9,10 (35 or over) - participants must be born in 1973 or before.
e. Event 11 (45 or over) - participants must be born in 1963 or before.
f. Event 12 (55 or over) - participants must be born in 1953 or before.
g. Event 13 (65 or over) - participants must be born in 1943 or before.
h. Event 14 Ladies' Doubles (40 or over) - participants must be born in 1968 or before.
i. Event 15 Mixed Doubles (40 or over) - participants must be born in 1968 or before.
j. Event 16 (150 or over) - The combined age of a team must be at least 150.
3. ENTRIES
Players must submit individual Entry Form. Deadline for entries is on Friday, 3rd October, 2008 5:00 p.m. Entries must be accompanied by the required entry fees to be paid in cash or by crossed cheque made payable to "CHINESE RECREATION CLUB, HONG KONG". Entry forms submit via internet will not be processed unless the entry fee is submitted to CRC before the entry deadline.
4. TIME OF PLAY
Mondays to Fridays commencing at 6:00 p.m. (Events 6, 7 and 8 “School Boys & Girls” commencing at 4:30 p.m.)
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays commencing at 2:00 p.m. (FOR ALL EVENTS).
Matches may be played under floodlight or indoor if required.
5. FORMAT OF PLAY
a. All matches in the qualifying events will be decided by a PRO SET. The PRO SET is won by the player /team who first wins 8 games provided there is a margin of 2 games over the opponents(s). A TIE-BREAK game will be played if the score reaches 8 games all.
b. In a TIE BREAK game, the player/team first wins 7 points wins the “game” and “set” provided there is a margin of 2 points over the opponents(s). If necessary, the tie-break game shall continue until the margin is achieved.
c. All matches in the main draw for event 1-8 will be decided by best of 3 TIE-BREAK sets.
d. All matches in the main draw for event 9-15 will be decided by best of 3 sets. The first two sets will be normal TIE-BREAK sets. A TIE-BREAK game will be played if the score reaches 6 games all in the first two sets. When the score in the match is one set all, one SUPER TIE-BREAK game shall be played to decide the match. The SUPER TIE-BREAK game replaces the deciding final set. The player/team first wins ten points shall win this SUPER TIE-BREAK game and the match provided there is a margin of two points over the opponent(s).
e. Event 16 (150 or over) will be decided by a PRO SET.
6. POWER OF THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE
The Tournament Committee reserves the right in its discretion to alter the conditions and programme of the Tournament as it deems fit and proper including but not limited to: (1) cancel any of the events if the total entry is less than 8; (2) accept or reject any application; (3) run the Tournament strictly according to schedule and no postponement will be allowed; (4) alter the scheduled duration of the Tournament and commence on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays morning due to bad weather or any unforeseen happenings; and (5) move the competition venue to indoor court.
All announced schedule for all matches are final and cannot be altered.
7. REFEREE
The decision of the Official Referee, appointed by the Tournament Committee, will be final in all matters arising from matches of the Tournament.
8. OFFICIAL BALLS
DUNLOP “FORT” balls will be used exclusively for the Tournament.
9. COURTS
ALL EVENTS WILL BE PLAYED ON HARDCOURT. NO PRACTICE COURTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR COMPETITORS.
10. AMATEURS
For prospective prize winners wishing to retain their amateur status, prizes and trophies will be offered in lieu of cash.
11. RESPONSIBILITY
THE CLUB WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBILE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR PERSONAL INJURIES ARISING FROM THE TOURNAMENT.
12. ALL PLAYERS SHALL DRESS AND PRESENT THEMSELVES FOR PLAY IN APPROPRIATE TENNIS ATTIRE. Any player who violates this section may be ordered by the referee to change his/her attire or equipment immediately. Failure of a player to comply with such order may result in immediate default.
13. PROGRAMME OF PLAY
Details of the draw and schedules for the first few days of the matches will be posted in the club house on Monday, 27th October 2008. Players are responsible for checking their playing schedule. The Club will not make any individual reminder. All competitors are expected to acquaint themselves with the hours at which they are to play and ready to play when their matches are called. All players not ready to play within fifteen (15) minutes after his/her match is called shall be defaulted unless the referee in his sole discretion, after considering of all relevant circumstances, elects not to declare a default.
14. PERSONAL DATA

If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
1. 比賽規則
根據國際網球協會及香港網球總會所採用之規則執行。
2. 參賽資格
甲、 本會誠邀各參加者成為香港網球總會會員。
乙、 參賽者必須持有香港身份證或有效之護照以備查閱。
丙、 賽事第六、七、八項（學生組）–參賽者須十八歲或以下，即1990年1月1日以後出生者。
丁、 賽事第九、十項（35歲或以上）– 參賽者須1973年或以前出生。
戊、 賽事第十一項（45歲或以上）– 參賽者須1963年或以前出生。
己、 賽事第十二項（55歲或以上）– 參賽者須1953年或以前出生。
庚、 賽事第十三項（65歲或以上) – 參賽者須1943年或以前出生。
辛、 賽事第十四項女子雙打（40歲或以上）– 參賽者須1968年或以前出生。
壬、 賽事第十五項混合雙打（40歲或以上）– 參賽者須1968年或以前出生。
癸、 賽事第十六項（150歲或以上組合）– 每隊(兩個)球員兩人年齡總和必須在150歲或以上。
3. 報名辦法
參賽者必須個別呈交報名表格，截止報名日期為二００八年十月三日（星期五）下午五時。
報名費可用現金或劃線支票，抬頭人「香港中華游樂會」。網上報名者需在截止日期前交妥費用，有關申請才被正式接納。
4. 比賽時間
星期一至五：下午六時開始。（學生組賽事：下午四時三十分開始）星期六、日及公眾假期：所有賽事由下午二時開始。
如有需要賽事將可以於泛光燈下或室內進行。
5. 比賽辦法
甲、 外圍賽之每場賽事均採用PRO SET淘汰制。PRO SET淘汰制是指對賽任何一方首先取八局，而又勝出最少兩局者，方為取勝。
乙、 長盤制局數八比八時則打決勝局(tie-break)，以定勝負。決勝局賽制為任何一方先取7分，而勝出最少2分者勝。
丙、 決賽週中，賽事第一至八項，賽事採用三盤兩勝制，如局數遇六比六時，則打決勝局(tie-break)，以定勝負。
丁、 決賽週中，賽事第九至十五項，採用三盤兩勝制，首兩盤如局數遇六比六時，則打決勝局(tie-break)，以定勝負。如首兩盤賽果為平手而需賽至第三盤，則以決勝局定勝負。決勝局中任何一方先取10分，而勝出最少2分者勝。
戊、 賽事第十六項(150歲或以上組合)採用PRO SET淘汰制。
6. 賽委會權力
在任何情況下，賽委會有權對本比賽規則及賽程作任何修改，包括但不限於：
甲、 如上述任何一項賽事之參賽者不足八人（或八對）時，有權取消該項賽事；
乙、 有權接受或拒絕任何參賽申請；
丙、 嚴格按照賽程進行比賽，拒絕任何延期申請；
丁、 如遇天雨或其他特殊情況，有權重編賽程、延期或安排在星期六、日及公眾假期早上作賽；
戊、 有權將賽事遷移到室內網球場舉行。
所有賽事一經公佈，不得更改。
7. 裁判
比賽時有任何糾紛，由總裁判作最後決定。
8. 比賽用球
採用DUNLOP“FORT”網球比賽。
9. 球場
所有賽事在硬地網球場舉行。本賽會恕不提供球場予參賽者作練習之用。
10. 業餘球員
球員如欲保留其業餘資格，可選擇獎品／獎牌以代替獎金。
11. 責任
球員如因比賽引致受傷或任何損失，本會恕不負責。
12. 所有參賽球員必須穿著合適網球服裝作賽。如有違反而經大會裁判勸告後未有即時改善者，將被取消資格。
13. 比賽賽程
抽籤結果及比賽賽程將於2008年10月27日（星期一）起，在本會所內及網上陸續張貼。所有球員有責任向本會查詢賽程或上網查詢，本會不會作個別通知。各參賽者必須在規定的時間到球場報到，及當召集時準時出現，逾時１５分鐘當作棄權論。唯總裁判可調節各賽事之編排及各球員之出賽權而無需事先通知。
